Florence d'Ersu went to art school in Geneva. After passing her baccalaureat, Florence studied art at l'atelier Baudry artists studio. She then went on to ESMOD University in Paris where she gained a diploma in textiles, wallpaper design and colourings.

After Paris, Florence returned to Anjou where she was born. Here, she concentrated on watercolours and still life with flowers, botany, gardens and houses providing the key themes for her work.

For the last 20 years, Florence has taught watercolour and drawing. She currently runs courses at her country guest house where her students draw inspiration from her beautiful garden.
